Relax pre-show and indulge in a delicious two- or three-course set menu.
Coming to Bristol Old Vic for a show? Dine with us in the stunning 1766 Bar & Kitchen with the original theatre façade as the backdrop to your eating experience, safe in the knowledge that we’ll get you to your seat in good time for the performance. We can even serve your pudding in the interval.
Enjoy locally sourced, seasonal ingredients prepared with passion by our talented Head Chef Coco Barone and her team.
Our daily changing, three-course Pre-Theatre Menu is available before all main auditorium shows and includes dishes such as chargrilled Wye Valley asparagus, poached egg, harrisa & nut dukkha to start, 28-day dry-aged Sirloin of Hereford beef, beurre 1766, fries & baby gem to follow, and topped off with a decadent pudd, such as the chocolate mousse, salted caramel, vanilla cream, honeycomb & 1766 biscuit.
Whether it’s a family feast, pre-theatre bite or evening with friends and work colleagues, our doors are open and the bar is buzzing!
Please note that our menu changes daily and this is a sample only. Allergen information and gluten-free options are available on request. Please notify your server of any dietary requirements.
