Keep A Seat Warm

We are so excited to finally welcome audiences back to Bristol Old Vic!

However, due to the current guidelines, we’re only able to sell 50% of our seats. That’s a loss of half our income, which is so vital to our recovery and the work that we do both on and off stage.

But you can help us keep one of those empty seats warm…

By donating the cost of an empty seat, you’ll be helping Bristol Old Vic recover from the COVID crisis, and continue with our mission to create inspiring theatre, and support communities and artists across the region.

Every seat that is kept warm (minimum donation £25) will be decorated with a tag, in place for a month, recognising the donor who’s keeping it warm for us!

There are still seats available to sponsor in our Georgian Auditorium and The Weston Studio.

Your name will be engraved onto a plaque and attached to your seat for up to 25 years and, with enough notice, we will ensure you can always sit in your seat when you visit. As a thank you, seat sponsors are invited to join us for a technical rehearsal to experience how we make productions.

Sponsor a seat and you’ll be in good company! Wander around our theatre and you might spot names such as Sir Daniel Day-Lewis, Dame Judi Dench, Jeremy Irons & Sinéad Cusack, Alan Rickman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Tom Stoppard, Sophie Thompson and Julie Walters.

Sponsoring a seat is an investment... sowing a seed which will turn into a mighty oak
