Harry and Chris
with support from Erin Bolems
Fri 15 Jun, 7pm £10/7 conc.
Having played together for over 10 years, World Poetry Slam champion Harry Baker teams up with jazz musician and BFF Chris Read for the imaginatively titled Harry and Chris. After sell-out runs of their 2016 and 2017 shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and a feature on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky), they are excited to be returning to Harry’s home from home, Bristol, to entertain our beloved Blah audiences. Combining comedy, jazz and rap (yes, you read it right), their songs range from coming-of-age stories to Robot Wars, as they bring love and laughter to a world that needs it more than ever.
Amazing, fabulously entertaining

Salena Godden & John Berkavitch: Double Bill
Sun 17 Jun, 7.30pm
Blahblahblah is excited to be able to support two established artists in developing brand new shows this year. We’re offering a preview of both shows for one price – a double bill with an interval.
Salena Godden: Mrs Death Misses Death
Blah and spoken word alumni Salena Godden returns to our podium with her new experimental piece, Mrs Death Misses Death, a rousing celebration about appreciating life and the short time that we have to live it. Featuring the private correspondence, poems and diaries of Mrs Death, this live performance is a collaboration of a new novel and album, with fiction and poetry by Peter Coyte.
John Berkavitch: Pokeman G.O.A.T
John Berkavitch was never a gamer. He was a troll in gaming chatrooms. But somehow, after becoming hooked on Pokemon Go, he has risen to the top 1% of players in the world. In this newly developed spoken word performance, John explores the inherent tribalism and toxicity of augmented reality gaming as he attempts to become the very best. A story told through a combination of spoken word, poetry and immersive projection that draws on physical elements of contemporary circus performance. This truly is a story about one man’s quest to be the very best.
