Drama Club For English Language Learners
We’re taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge again this year, raising money to continue delivering this project for the next 2 years, to offer more sessions, and remove barriers to access.
Through play and performance, develop your English language skills, meet new people, laugh and create together.
These workshops are open to anyone with English as a second language (refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, and ESL students). This is a fun and welcoming space to play with zero pressure!
A FREE activity - travel costs from within Bristol will be reimbursed each session.
Classes will develop your confidence in speaking English, inspire your creativity and improve wellbeing, using:
- Voice techniques
For ages 16+. No previous experience needed. All levels of English welcome.
Classes are led by Hester Welch from Spilt Ink Theatre. Hester has taught English through theatre in China, Malaysia and France as well as directed and taught professional and community theatre internationally. She mainly creates devised theatre that is socially engaged, highly visual, physical and immersive. Working in diverse communities, cultures and environments continue to inspire her.
Autumn term: Tuesdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm, September 19th – November 28th 2023.
