Bristol Old Vic’s artist support invites artists to grow their ideas and develop their practice.

We do this through long term and committed engagement that recognises the need for an artist to learn about their work through a dialogue with audiences. We are committed to our home in Bristol and want to contribute to the vibrant creative ecology of the South West. 

• Through our Literary Programme we support writers to build a sustainable practice & commission work for development and presentation here at Bristol Old Vic. 
• Our Associate Companies and Artists receive targeted support from Bristol Old Vic aimed at amplifying their work and growing their ambition. 
• Our Partnerships are bespoke offers we make in collaboration with organisations across the UK. 
• The Forum is our programme of support for all artists offering workshops, meet ups and bespoke offers that enable artistic community to connect with each other, the wider sector and Bristol Old Vic’s work.
