The New Vic Studio

Following a short trial season of work by visiting companies, Bristol Old Vic’s New Vic Studio officially opened in 1972 with The Great West Show.
The Studio was based on the Wickham Theatre at the University of Bristol. Part of the 1970s refurbishment by architect Peter Moro, it was designed as an intimate space for more experimental shows.
