In the Light Everything is Brighter | Meet Lydia

11 Jul 2018

With their debut show on the horizon, we're getting to know each of the 12-strong company who make up this year's Made in Bristol company, WILDERBEAST. Next up, Lydia Robertshaw!

Tell us a little about yourself and how you made it into this year’s Made in Bristol company.
I’m 25 years old but still can’t go anywhere without my ID. I moved to Bristol after travelling for a year. I’ve been working at Bristol Old Vic for nearly five years alongside trying to pursue acting as a career. Last summer I did some work for the Engagement Department, and I had heard so much about Made In Bristol through friends and work that I thought ‘why not audition’?!

What’s been your top moment of Made in Bristol so far?
Creating Ice Ice Baby!

What does WILDERBEAST mean to you?
A beast of a brand new exciting theatre company!

Is there anything exciting you can reveal about this year’s show?
The word egg may make an appearance.

What are you looking forward to on completion of the course?
Making more work with the WILDERBEAST bunch. Also I would like to do more children’s theatre!

Give us a quick fun-fact about yourself!
If I eat pineapple my face blows up.

This year's Made in Bristol company return to 1532 Performing Arts Centre to present their visceral new show 18–21 July. For more information and to book tickets, click here.
