Callout - Freelance Technicians

Bristol Old Vic is currently looking for freelance technicians to work alongside our in house production team. Please send your CV to jobs@bristololdvic.org.uk, indicating your bias (sound, lighting etc.), and detailing your skills and experience relevant to the departments below. 

Stage

Experience in this area can include but is not limited to:

• Loading and unloading sets/props/equipment
• Carpentry
• Rigging
• Show crewing
• Counterweight flying.

Lighting

Experience in this area can include but is not limited to:

• Experience of ETC lighting desks
• Intelligent fixture maintenance and set up
• Rigging experience
• Counterweight flying experience
• PAT testing experience

The ideal person should be able to work independently as well as being comfortable with work at heights.

Sound

Experience in this area can include but is not limited to:

• Experience of live mixing using digital sound desks. A familiarity with Yamaha CL/QL series desks would be an ideal advantage.
• Proficient in Dante controller and Dante Virtual Soundcard.
• Experience of using and programming Qlab.
• Rigging experience
• Set up of microphones (including radio) and speakers

Wardrobe

Experience in this area can include but is not limited to:

• Making costumes
• Alterations
• Show dressing
• Maintenance & laundry
