Casting announced for Pink Mist at Bristol Old Vic

3 Jan 2017

Casting was today confirmed for the return of Bristol Old Vic’s acclaimed production, Pink Mist, which plays at Bristol Old Vic 23 - 28 January.

The lead role of Arthur will be taken by Dan Krikler, joining returning cast members Alex Stedman as Hads, Peter Edwards as Taff, Rebecca Killick as Lisa, Rebecca Hamilton as Gwen and Zara Ramm as Sarah.   Dan is a recent graduate from Central School of Speech and Drama. His previous stage work includes the UK tour of Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre and Loserville for West Yorkshire Playhouse. He will soon be seen in the upcoming ITV series The Halcyon.   Speaking today Dan said: “I was pretty nervous to jump into Phil Dunster’s shoes and take on the part he originally created. However, the great thing I’ve realised is just how much of an ensemble production it actually is. The cast work together to create something unlike anything else I’ve seen and I’m really proud to become part of that. Arthur is an amazing character, brilliantly written and imagined by the whole team. It’s a role of a lifetime and I hope I can do him justice!”   Written by Owen Sheers, (‘the war poet of our generation’- Independent) and adapted for the stage by co-directors John Retallack and George Mann, Pink Mist charts the emotional and physical devastation caused to three young Bristol soldiers returning from Afghanistan and the impact on their loved-ones.

Pink Mist will also set off on a national tour between 31 Jan - 1 April, please visit bristololdvic.org.uk/pinkmist for more information.
