Alice Nicholas - Dramatherapist

Alice is a Dramatherapist, Creative Clinical Supervisor and Playback theatre performer based in Bristol and the South West. She originally trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in Applied Theatre (2004-07) and at Roehampton University (2011-14) in Dramatherapy. Alice has worked in the professional theatre industry for over 20 years as a playwright, director, applied theatre practitioner and now as a production dramatherapist.  Alice has worked extensively throughout her career with the Bristol Old Vic, the egg theatre, Bath, Travelling Light theatre company and the Creative Youth Network. Alice has her own dramatherapy and creative supervision private practice where she offers creative therapy to individual children, young people and adults including artists, creatives and adoptees as well as supervising other therapists. From 2022-23 Alice was a recipient of the Arts Council England DYCP fund to explore the role of the Production Dramatherapist in the theatre rehearsal process.  

Alice is a mother of two, long term book worm and novice crocheter. Her recent credits include; The Beautiful Future is Coming (2025), Bristol Old Vic; Blinded by Your Grace (2025 in development), Bristol Old Vic; Sitting in the Grey (2023), Beyond Face; Dance Nation (2023) Bristol School of Acting.
