David Guy

Since graduating in classical double bass from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2011, David has been developing a Bristol-based career as a freelance Double Bass and Bass Guitar player and enjoys working across a wide range of musical genres, including orchestral, film music, jazz and klezmer.

For Bristol Old Vic: Coram Boy, The Grinning Man

Highlights include touring Denmark with the Cinematic Sinfonia, live orchestra work for film screenings across the UK, appearances as sideman for jazz musicians such as Pee Wee Ellis and Andy Sheppard, opening the Bristol Jazz festival on several occasions with the Bruce Ilett Big Band and contributing to a BBC4 Timeshift documentary about Klezmer.

TV appearances also include work with singers such as Alfie Boe and Noah Stewart.
