Isabella Nefar
Isabella's most recent film Reading Lolita In Tehran from director Eran Riklis premiered at Rome Film Festival 2024, winning the audience award and the special jury prize for the cast. Her other credits include Home Sweet Rome for HBO Max, Neil Forsyth’s BBC series The Gold, directed by Aneil Karia, and Alessio Cremonini’s feature film Profeti. She plays the lead in the action/thriller Small City, which premiered on Showtime, and can be seen alongside Mark Rylance, Johnny Depp, and Robert Pattinson in Waiting For The Barbarians, which premiered at Venice Film Festival. Isabella can also be seen as Parissa in Apple TV’s Tehran.
Stage credits include the title role in Yael Farber’s Salomé for the National Theatre, the world premiere of Goats at the Royal Court and Jude at Hampstead Theatre. My English Persian Kitchen for Soho Theatre and Wish You Were Here for The Gate Theatre. Isabella trained at LAMDA.
