Johanne Jensen
Johanne Jensen trained at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and Bartlett School of Architecture and is a lighting designer specialised in devised theatre, opera, concerts and immersive events. Her work is based around a strong design-led narrative and was in 2018 awarded the ETC Award for Excellence in Lighting Design.
Her Lighting Design credits includes How to Break out of a Detention Centre (Riverside Studios), Carmen (Opera Holland Park), A Small Place (The Gate Theatre), Bryony Kimming’s I Am A Phoenix Bitch (Battersea Arts Centre), Crave (Barbican).
As Associate Lighting Designer for Alicia Keys 2023 (US Arena Tour), 5 Seconds of Summer Live Stream Concert (Royal Albert Hall), The Seed by Es Devlin (Performance Installation), and the West End transfer of Nine Night (Trafalgar Studio)
As an assistant lighting designer her credits include Mamma Mia! The Party (O2), Rammstein (Stadium Tour 2019), Life of Galileo (Young Vic), and Henry IV (Donmar Warehouse).
