Krista Matthews
After graduating in Applied Theatre from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2020, Krista has worked extensively as a facilitator within many different settings. Most recently, she was working in a secure children’s home, where theatre was being used as a tool for self-advocacy. In the last 4 years, Krista has directed and associate directed on many productions, ranging from contemporary adaptations to devised work, and has been able to blend her passion for community engagement with her directorial work.
Krista will be directing the upcoming Bristol Old Vic Young Company show, Home Ground, in January 2025. Recent directing credits include: Hearts and Minds (Trowbridge Town Hall), The Sad Club (Bath Theatre Academy, The Egg), Orpheus and Eurydice (Associate Director- Bristol Old Vic), The Sweet Science of Bruising (Associate Director- Bath Theatre Academy), Little Women in Black (Associate Director- The Wardrobe Theatre).
