Max Porter

Lanny was Max Porter’s acclaimed second novel and was nominated for multiple awards, including the Booker Prize. His debut novel, Grief is the Thing with Feathers, won numerous literary honours including the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award and was later adapted for stage and screen starring Cillian Murphy and Benedict Cumberbatch respectively. Porter’s recent Netflix adaptation Steve, based on his novel Shy, received a BAFTA nomination in 2025.
