Poppy Clifford
Poppy is a London-based director with a special interest in new writing, international, and queer work. Poppy received an MFA in Theatre Directing from Birkbeck, University of London, following an undergraduate degree in German Literature at Oxford
University.
As well as directing plays including ‘Dugsi Dayz’, ‘Arawelo’, ‘HOME’ and ‘Muna Knows It All’ for Side eYe, her productions include ‘The Threepenny Opera’ (Oxford Playhouse), ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ (HOME Manchester & The Hope Mill), ‘Bluebeard III’ (The Kings Head) and ‘The Laramie Project’ (RADA). She also directed the award-winning podcast ‘Dem Times’ and has been Resident Assistant Director at RADA, HOME Manchester and Theater Freiburg in Germany.
