Tamara Lawrance

Tamara Lawrance most recently appeared on stage as Ursula in The Comeuppance at the Almeida Theatre. Her extensive credits for the National Theatre include her acclaimed portrayal of Viola in Twelfth Night—for which she was awarded second prize at the Ian Charleson Awards—as well as Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and The Tell-Tale Heart. At the Royal Court, she starred as Natasha in Unreachable.

On screen, Tamara can currently be seen in the titular role of HBO’s Get Millie Black. Notable television credits include the BAFTA-winning Mr Loverman opposite Lennie James, Steve McQueen’s Small Axe anthology, The Long Song with Hayley Atwell, and the second series of Time alongside Sean Bean and Jodie Whittaker.

Her film work includes a BIFA-winning performance in The Silent Twins opposite Letitia Wright, the social horror Kindred, Dominic Cooke’s On Chesil Beach, and Boxing Day. Having recently completed filming on the feature Love of Your Life with Margaret Qualley, she also appeared in the film adaptation of King Charles III.
