Tiwa Lade

Tiwa most recently played Hermia in the Globe Theatre / Headlong production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (d. Holly Race Roughan). She won the Best Female Lead Actor in a Play award at the 2024 Black British Theatre Awards for playing the lead role in MY FATHER’S FABLE (d. Lynette Linton & Daniel Bailey) at the Bush Theatre. She can be seen in BBC One series BLACK OPS S.2 and in Mike Leigh’s HARD TRUTHS, which premiered at TIFF.

Tiwa’s other screen work includes Lucas Films’ INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY directed by Academy-Award winner James Mangold, as well as ITV series TELL ME EVERYTHING directed by Marley Morrison.Tiwa was a member of NYT’s REP Company and played Miss Havisham in GREAT EXPECTATIONS (d. Mumba Dodwell) staged at Southwark Playhouse.
