Adult Company
About
During 2012, a group of non-professional actors from Bristol participated in a series of drama workshops with experienced drama facilitator and creative practitioner, Liz Hague. The sessions had a strong focus on creating and devising, and explored various theatrical skills including improvisation, text-based stories, physical theatre, puppetry/object animation, character-building and the theatre experience. These 'taster' sessions led to the formation of the first ever participatory Bristol Old Vic Adult Company in Spring 2013, which continues to this day.
Bristol Old Vic Adult Company is a participatory theatre class that runs termly, is open to all and involves:
- Weekly classes (no experience needed)
- The chance to develop skill and work together as an ensemble
- Sessions run after work hours during term time, limited bursary places are available
