About the term
Making History: A performative exploration of Bristol Old Vic's archives
In the summer term, Adult Company will be working with Heritage Manager and participatory artist Holly Wallis to creatively explore and perform Bristol Old Vic’s history.
Using stimulus from our archives including sound archives, historical documents, first person testimony, photos and objects, we’ll be exploring what it was like to live by, visit, and perform at Bristol Old Vic throughout its 250-year history.
Together, we’ll be bringing this history alive through a creative process, contributing to Bristol Old Vic’s ongoing understanding of its place in Bristol’s history, and continuing role as a cultural institution in Bristol today.
