BalletBoyz
Them / UsApplauded across the globe for their stunning live performances, films and TV appearances, BalletBoyz are back with two brand new works, both set to original scores by world-class composers.
Them, the first half of the show, is created through a unique, collaborative choreographic process by the BalletBoyz company dancers. The piece explores the individuality that resides within each dancer and the versatility of movement which the company has always been known for. Them proves to be an exciting culmination of the experience the company has gained after 20 years of working with leading choreographers, designers, composers and artists.
Tony and Olivier Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon concludes the evening with Us, exploring human connections and culminating in an expanded version of the tender duet which premiered in 2017 to wide critical and public acclaim. Performed by the full company, the piece presents BalletBoyz at its powerful best.
Set to contrasting scores by artist Keaton Henson and composer Charlotte Harding, this inventive double bill asks where we see ourselves in relation to the “other”, and explores the fine balance between them and us.
It doesn’t matter what they dance. The result is always the same – fantastic
The Times
Dancers soar and rebound off each other’s bodies, orchestrating a paradox of muscular impact and weightless flight that I’ve never seen on stage
