Half Term Storytelling Family Workshops
This half term, to celebrate the launch of A Bristol Elephant Adventure, join us for interactive storytelling workshops perfect for little ones.
Our fantastic story makers will take children on a magical journey through the animal kingdom. By the end of the workshop, we will have created and performed a brand new story together.

This October Half Term, six cultural venues across the city centre are teaming up to provide a week of free activities for early years children and their families.
Pick up a free trail and follow the story of the Elephant as he walks around Bristol looking for his friend, Mr Giraffe. Stop in at any of the venues along the way to participate in a range of different activities, and to collect a special stamp.
Can you collect all six stamps and help the Elephant find his friend?

Young inventors' workshop
Tues 25 Oct between 10am and 3:30pm
Play around with scrap materials and imagine your own invention. Will you design a ship or a tunnel like Brunel? Can you solve the challenge of getting an elephant across the ocean or design a bridge for a penguin?
Free with an admission ticket for Brunel's SS Great Britain.
St George's Bristol
Animal Adventure Day
Wed 26 Oct
Come and join us for a day full of fun activities! Put on your creative hat at St George’s Bristol and build your very own George the Fox puppet. Shake out your big elephant ears and stay to hear a story. You can even pop on your exploring shoes, head into our beautiful gardens and see how many creatures you can spot! After all that hard work, rest your feet and enjoy a scrumptious cake in our café - don’t forget to check out our new children’s menu!

Bristol Beacon
The Marvellous Musical Elephant Parade
Thurs 27 Oct at 10am and 11am
Join trombonist Raph and percussionist Harriet for this marvellous musical workshop for children under 5 and their parents and carers. Make your own junk percussion, design your own animal masks and join the melodious animal parade.
Packed with singing, wiggling and animal dance moves, this FREE 45 minute workshop will delight little and big people alike.

Royal West of England Academy (RWA)
Animal Art for Early Years
Thurs 27 Oct between 10am and 3pm
Join us for some drop-in animal themed activities for 2-4 year-olds throughout the day in our Family Activity Space. You can make paper peacocks, fuzzy unicorns, lion masks, or just explore materials by feel and smell. When you have finished your masterpieces, you can hunt for the animals around the RWA building.
Short storytelling with puppets at 11am and 2pm.
Booking morning or afternoon is advised though this event is drop-in from 10am-12pm or 1-3pm.
