RoadhouseEleanor Sikorski and Lewys Holt
No plan, no structure, just open improvisation.
Roadhouse is a night of improvised performance hosted by Eleanor Sikorski and Lewys Holt. For every edition they perform as the Roadhouse House Band and invite a line-up of brilliant dance artists to each perform for 30 minutes, concluding with all artists coming together for a big spontaneous group improvisation at the end.
Documenting each night live on paper, a writer will provide proof that something actually happened.
Eleanor and Lewys think that improvisation is political. They see that there is lots of improvisation about, but no obvious place to do it or watch it. This is a space for artists to practice performing and for audiences to practice watching. Why not stop in at the Roadhouse?
