Laberinto
Presented by ImpermanenceFollowing a string of showcases in The Weston Studio across 2019, Impermanence are back to present three nights of striking dance from Bristol-based choreographer Lea Anderson (The Three Musketeers (A Comedy Adventure), Fat Blokes).
The inaugural creation for PUCP Danza – the first professional dance company in Lima, Peru – Anderson’s Laberinto (Labyrinth) draws on imagery from South American ceremonial sites, European myth, Ancient Greek legend and modern-day Hollywood to depict spirits from the underworld in a historical misconstruction of reimagined lost dances.
Using designs and imagery from pre-Incan textiles, ceramics and architecture, this brand new creation leads audiences on a serpentine journey into the darkness, into the labyrinth, into worlds beyond death.
