Ronald Duncan Celebration
We would like to invite you to an event celebrating the impact of the Ronald Duncan Foundation on new writing over the past seven years.
As way of thanks for the significant donation given to Bristol Old Vic in 2015 toward new writing for the stage, we are holding an event to celebrate both Ronald Duncan’s work and the success of writers and projects the donation has supported, which includes Pink Mist, Princess and the Hustler, Booby’s Bay, Summer Rolls, The Meaning of Zong, and Wonder Boy.
There will be short talks on Duncan’s life, work and impact on Bristol from members of his family, and Duncan academics, in addition to readings of Duncan's work and extracts from productions supported by the Foundation.
We’d also like to highlight the impact of the award on our work at Bristol Old Vic and the potential legacy of the funding.
Complimentary drinks will be served from 6pm, with talks and performances due to begin in Cooper's Hall from 6:30pm.
