T***k You
The Weston Studio Opening Weekend“The duty of youth is to challenge corruption” – Kurt Cobain
It’s 2018. We are young and we are great. We don’t know everything yet and soon we will inherit a world that you have made for us. We are happy, excited, nervous, confused and angry about this.
We want to talk to you about patriarchy, power, and protest, but we don't think words will be enough. So we are going to dance and sing and shout and laugh and we would like for you to listen.
This Autumn, Bristol Old Vic Young Company will explore the relationship between youth and power in the world today with T***k you, a devised show, originally presented in 2017 in collaboration with St. Brendan’s Sixth Form College Performing Arts Academy.
Bristol Old Vic Young Company is home to over 350 young people, aged 5–25, from all across the city who take part in weekly sessions, individual masterclasses and full-scale, professional standard performances. Bristol Old Vic Young Company is accessible to young people from any background, with no previous experience required, and there is financial support available for those who may need help with fees.
