Taking Its Toll (Work In Progress)
Presented as part of Ferment’s Development & Commissioning strandTaking Its Toll is a proudly and profoundly pointless hour of comedy.
Written and performed by three of the most exciting comedy talents of Wales and the South West; Pravanya Pillay, Leila Navabi, and Priya Hall, the show centres on three toll booth workers patiently (and sometimes impatiently) waiting for the reopening of the Severn Toll Bridge. We see life through the eyes of three people doggedly devoted to a toll bridge and completely unwilling to re-enter reality.
Expect sketch, songs, and to leave thinking “I thought they’d changed the bridge’s name to the Prince of Wales Bridge… Weird that they didn’t address that.”
This work-in-progress is presented as part of Ferment’s Development & Commissioning strand. Find out more about those projects on our blog.
