Places can be booked from 10am on Monday 23 March
These sessions are for young people aged 11–15 who are currently in home education/home schooling. If your young person is outside of that age bracket and would like to join, please email: engagement@bristololdvic.org.uk
Please note that at least 13 people will need to sign up to the sessions, for them to go ahead.
Lots of young people who attend the sessions are part of The Streams Learning Hub.
The Streams Learning Hub is a part-time learning community in Bristol for young people who learn outside the traditional school system. Rooted in creativity, collaboration, and belonging, the Hub offers workshops, projects, and partnerships across the city that help young people explore their passions and develop confidence. Through collaborations with organisations such as the Bristol Old Vic learners access inspiring, real-world opportunities. These experiences encourage creativity, teamwork, and self-expression while connecting young people with Bristol’s vibrant cultural and educational community.

How to book a Young Company place online
- If you are booking for someone other than yourself online, please ensure you book under the participant’s name, not your own. Otherwise we will not know who to add to the register.
- When making your booking, if you are booking in multiple participants, you must book in each one as separate bookings. If you have a sibling attending another session, you can select the 'sibling discount' price for each participant.
- If sessions fully sell out, please contact the Engagement team to be added to the waiting list for that session.
Fees and Bursaries
We have a limited number of bursary grants that are available in cases of genuine hardship for anyone who will struggle to pay Young Company fees. Bursaries should be applied for when booking opens on Monday 23rd March at 10am. Applying for a bursary means we automatically reserve you a space for Young Company, so you do not need to make a paid booking in addition to your bursary application, and you will have the option to buy your reserved place if your bursary application is not successful. In order to allocate bursary places as fairly as possible we will initially prioritise applicants who are in receipt of free school meals, please note that we will contact your school to confirm this information.
Please visit Fees & Bursaries page to download a bursary application form. Bursary applications for Summer Term will be accepted between Wednesday 23rd March at 10am and Monday 20th April. When a Young Company session has reached capacity we will not accept bursary places for that session.
Please send the application form in as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment.
