Summer Term 2025
This term we will be focusing on devising movement for theatre and performance. We'll learn how to approach generating movement in a way that suits our own bodies and Maisie will be giving you a toolbox to create complicated movement work simply and effectively. We will: work 'outside in' to create characters and relationships on stage using viewpoints and Meisner techniques; we'll do fun foundational skills such as contact improvisation and lifts; we'll think dramaturgically about how movement and images on stage are read when layered with text and story; and we'll devise and collaborate to create small pieces in pairs, small groups and sometimes on our own.
