250th Birthday

In May 2016 the Theatre celebrated its 250th birthday!
As the oldest continuously-working theatre in the English-speaking world it deserved a proper party, so we hired Bristol-based Limbic Cinema to create a film of the Theatre’s historical highlights which was projected onto the Theatre itself.
It was also the launch of our Heritage Lottery funded project, which aims to bring the Theatre’s history to life through a range of visual, aural, and digital interpretation that will be available throughout the building from November 2018.
