Cost: All workshops are £25 for the day (VAT incl). However a discount of £5 on all subsequent workshops is offered if you would like to do more than one.

Participants are welcome to attend any number of workshops.

An exciting and unique opportunity to go beyond what you thought physically, vocally and emotionally possible with award winning performer and theatre maker, Dr. Karla Shacklock (Precarious, Fleur Darkin Company, Marie-Gabrielle Rotie, Mimbre). The workshops are open to performers from all disciplines (dance, theatre, live art, circus, music) and explore Karla’s highly innovative approach to accessing the performance consciousness in order to reveal the true self. Highly physical and explorative, the workshops will be jam packed full of discoveries and openings.

The workshops may potentially lead to involvement in Karla’s project ‘Going Further Beyond’ next year: Karla will be working for 6 weeks, with 6 performance artists from a range of disciplines, on a large scale promenade performance in an huge unused Georgian building in Bristol. The project is being produced by Theatre Bristol, is supported by Circomedia, Ferment/Bristol Old Vic, University of Bristol and commissioned by Bristol City Council.

So don’t miss this opportunity to work with Karla and sample a taste of what is to come. The September 2010 workshops were completely over-subscribed so make sure you book early!
