Bristol Ferment to support Artist Residencies @ DanceSpaceBristol
21 May 2012
DanceSpace Bristol is delighted to announce its first run of Artist Residencies; this pilot project has been created working in partnership with Theatre Bristol, Bristol Ferment at Bristol Old Vic and Bristol City Council. Six dance artists' have been awarded time at DanceSpace Bristol to develop new work and their dance practices.
Artists awarded time are: Lisa May Thomas, Batel Magen (Neshima Dance Company), Julia Thorneycroft, KinFidget, Harriet Quinn and Rebecca D'Andrea and Laura Dannequin (Jointly).
DanceSpace Bristol is excited to be working closely with its partners to nourish dance artists in Bristol, creating a rich environment for artists to inform each others development and for dance to flourish in the city. It is hoped that this is the first of many artist residencies at DanceSpace Bristol.
The residencies will be taking place over the coming months and the artists will also be providing workshops for dancers in the region in each of their specialisms.
We will be announcing the workshops shortly. Tickets will be possible to buy nearer the time from the Bristol Old Vic website and box office.
