Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation to support work with young people
6 Jul 2026
We are delighted to share that the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation has awarded a grant to Bristol Old Vic in support of our work with Young People.
This grant will strengthen a range of Bristol Old Vic’s programmes, including Young Company City, Young Six Six, and Made in Bristol. These free-to-access opportunities are designed to widen access to theatre and remove the barriers that limit participation, from enabling young people facing social or financial barriers to experience theatre for the first time, to offering creative experiences that build essential skills, and accessible routes to explore careers in the industry.
We were thrilled be able to thank him in person when he popped into the theatre recently and met BOV's Chair Bernard Donaghue, Director of Engagement Lucy Hunt and Development Director Tamara Pink.
"We believe theatre should be open to everyone, and that no one’s talent or ambition should be limited by their financial circumstances. Support from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation helps us connect with more communities across our city, deepen the impact of our work, and create welcoming pathways into the industry. It’s about opening doors, breaking down barriers, and building a creative community that reflects the incredible diversity, energy and talent of the city we call home."
