For over 260 years, Bristol Old Vic has been part of Bristol’s story - a place for creativity, connection and shared experiences.

While our work on stage remains at the heart of what we do, we’re also growing the ways we work with businesses, organisations and partners across the city and beyond.

That might mean hosting conferences, awards ceremonies or private events in our spaces. It might mean working with teams through training that draws on theatre skills like communication, leadership and presentation. Or it could be collaborating on film and creative production projects.

At the centre of all of it is the same thing: storytelling, creativity and bringing people together.

As Executive Director Rebecca Dawson explains:

“Bristol Old Vic has been part of Bristol’s cultural life for over 260 years, and we’re proud of that heritage. At the same time, we’re focused on building a sustainable future for the theatre. Expanding our events business is a key part of that, allowing us to generate vital income that supports our artistic programme, our community work, and the next generation of talent. We’re increasingly working with businesses in a range of ways - from hosting major events, to delivering training experiences, to collaborating on film and creative production - all rooted in the same storytelling expertise that defines Bristol Old Vic.”

We’ve already built strong relationships with organisations across the region. One long-standing partner is the Royal Television Society, which has hosted its West of England Awards at Bristol Old Vic for more than a decade.

“It’s a joy to be holding the RTS West of England Awards at Bristol Old Vic again in 2026. The venue works perfectly for us thanks to the flexibility of the event spaces, great tech support and a lovely team to work with - and it’s wonderful to support such an important creative institution in the heart of Bristol.”

Rachel Drummond-Hay, Chair of RTS West of England

As the cultural sector evolves, partnerships like these are playing an increasingly important role in supporting the future of organisations like ours. Every event, collaboration and creative partnership helps fund the work we do on stage and in the community. They are helping us invest in the productions, people and community programmes that make Bristol Old Vic what it is.

So if you’re looking for a venue with character, a team full of ideas, and a partner who understands how to connect with audiences, we’d love to work with you.
