Have you heard about Made in Bristol?
Made In Bristol is a group of twelve young people aged 18-25 on some sort of gap year – be it having graduated from university, finished school or being in part time employment – who become resident at Bristol Old Vic for two days a week for one year.
Made in Bristol is designed to give young theatre-makers an opportunity to train together, to become workshop leaders, facilitators and theatre makers, creating work that can reach out across Bristol and the South West, engaging with other local arts organisations as well as performing their own piece of work at the end of the course.
Now in its thirteenth year, 2022-23’s Made in Bristol is: Georgia Casimir, Grace Dobson, Akosua Edwards, Lottie Elcoate, Mia Macleod, Jake Rayner Blair, Paige Stevens and Cameron Thorne.
Our latest Made in Bristol Company's first show took place this November and was for our toughest audience of the lot!
Babytales - A Cabaret for Little People was made especially for babies, toddlers and their carers. Through a beautiful 30minute show, they discovered the sights, sounds and textures of classic stories in a playful musical exploration of fairy tales.
