Take a photo to win Drive Your Plow tickets

“We have a view of the world, but animals have a sense of the world, do you see?”

Have you seen our Drive Your Plow... billboards around Bristol? 

We’re so excited that Complicité’s stunning production of Olga Tokarczuk’s Nobel Prize-winning Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead has opened at Bristol Old Vic. 

Part eco-thriller, part detective story, it’s already prompting an intense reaction in audiences with its approach to animal rights, what it means to be human, and our interaction and impact on nature.

We’d now like to invite you to share your view of the relationship between animals and humans at this moment in time and be in with a chance to see the show – through photography!

How to take part

1. Take a photo (or multiple photos) in response to the quote “We have a view of the world, but animals have a sense of the world, do you see?” No fancy equipment necessary. You can use your phone camera, and point and shoot whatever inspires you.

2. Post it to your social media account, using the hashtag #driveyourplowcomp and tag (dependent on your chosen platform):

Prize details

The photographers of our three favourite photos will each receive two tickets to the Bristol run of Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead between 30 Jan and 11 Feb (dependent on availability), or a free ticket to a Preview Live Broadcast of Drive Your Plow on either 7, 9 or 11 February.

The winning images will also be posted on our social media channels and website.

Terms & Conditions

• The competition runs from 21 January 2023 to 23:59 on 29 January 2023. Any submissions outside this time will not be considered.
• The winners will be contacted and announced in the week commencing Monday 30 January 2023.
• Entries must consist of at least one photo, and, if entering on social media, the post copy must include the hashtag #DriveYourPlowComp to be considered.
• Any images submitted as part of the competition may be included on the Bristol Old Vic social channels and website. If they are featured, they will be credited to the photographer.
• The prize will be two free tickets to the Bristol run Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of The Dead to a performance between 30 January and 11 February or one of the three Preview Live Broadcasts of Drive Your Plow, depending on availability. If the winner cannot attend the theatre show, they will be offered a free ticket to one of the Preview Live Broadcasts on 7, 9 or 11 February. Please note we cannot offer tickets to other dates of the show’s tour.
• The winners will be contacted via the means of entry i.e. social account or email. If the winners do not respond within 3 days, there will be no guarantee of the prize being honoured as availability will be limited and a ticket to one of the three Live Broadcasts will be offered as default.
