How We're Keeping You Safe This Christmas

3 Dec 2021

Dear friends,

Over the Christmas period we’ll be welcoming thousands of families to our theatre.

We know for many people this will be the first time they come back to a theatre – to share a little festive magic with the family – so we wanted to update you on the latest ways in which we are keeping you safe during your visit.

From Monday 6 Dec, we’ll be introducing mandatory mask wearing for anyone visiting Bristol Old Vic. We are asking everyone to wear their masks unless under 12 years of age, medically exempt, or while eating and drinking.

We have taken this decision in light of feedback from audiences, staff and our acting company, and in response to new Government guidelines introduced with the emergence of the new COVID variant. We believe it is sensible to put additional measures in place in light of recent government advice, and these will remain in place in line with government review periods.

Our priority is to create the safest and most comfortable environment for people to visit, and we want to do all we can to ensure that we do not have to cancel performances and disappoint our audiences.

You can find all of our COVID safety measures here

We want to make sure everyone has a wonderful time, so thank you from all of the BOV team for your help to deliver the best Christmas we can!

Season’s Greetings
