When I was a child, my dad used to make me walk the plank. We couldn’t afford a dog.
What was your favourite book growing up?
I loved Matilda by Roald Dahl. I’d often try and move objects with my mind when I was younger. I never succeeded though.
Best Christmas gift you got as a kid:
The Christmas I got my Sega Mega Drive games console will always be one that stays with me. Sonic the Hedgehog and I became life long friends that year.
What would your pirate name be? Legless Leggo!
What do you treasure most in the world? I think myself incredibly lucky to be born in an era where we have choice and can carve out almost any destiny we want for ourselves.
What’s the strangest thing you ever dug up? I once found an old Roman coin in our garden. Apparently it was quite valuable. I then stupidly polished it to an inch of its life, subsequently making it worthless! Silly me.

What’s the strangest thing you ever dug up?I’m not sure I’ve ever actively dug for anything….but i’m a bit of a magpie for things left out on the street…it’s not really digging, but I did once find a complete box set of ‘24’ on DVD left on the street. Which is a kind of like finding treasure I suppose.

I dug up bike once, a beautiful old one, with a shopkeepers bell, its was half buried in the sand. Quite a find. I still ride it now.
