Coopers' Hall
The centrepiece of the venue is the Grade I listed Coopers’ Hall, originally built as a Georgian banqueting hall in 1744, which has been restored to its former glory. With its high ceilings and huge windows – which flood the beautifully-proportioned space with natural light – the elegant hall provides all the romance and drama that such a special occasion demands.
Pre-dating the theatre itself, Coopers’ Hall has had a rich and colourful history over the years having been a public assembly room, wine warehouse, Baptist chapel and the theatre’s foyer for over 40 years. Now it can be experienced as it was originally intended.
The room can cater for up to 100 formally-seated guests and 150 for standing and theatre-style events.
