BOOBY'S BAY
Studio Walkabout"I'm untameable. Like the wind. Or Heathcliff. Or Bruce Springsteen during his Nebraska period. The Beast of Booby's Bay."
Above a secluded cove in Cornwall, Huck, a former fisherman, is holed up in an empty second home. The holiday season is fast approaching – the sharks are coming. As Booby's Bay gets busy for the annual surfing competition Huck wants to shake things up, even if no one's listening. He's going to make a stand.
Booby's Bay is Henry Darke's first full-length play; directed by Chris White and produced by Alison Holder. Following its run as part of Bristol Old Vic's Studio Walkabout season, performances will continue in Cornwall.
Supported by Arts Council England, Bristol Old Vic and The Ronald Duncan Literary Foundation.
