

Bump in the Night Lantern Parade
Fri 14 – Sun 30 OctGet involved in the Bump In The Night Lantern Parade through Bristol Centre on Sunday 30 October!
The Procession leaves Broadmead at 5pm and arrives at Bristol Old Vic approx. 5:45pm, with part of the parade themed around the Anansi story.
In the run-up to the parade, come and take part in free dance and costume workshops at Bristol Old Vic!
Keep an eye on the Lamplighter website to book your place once workshops open.
Carnival Structure-Making Workshop
Fri 14 Oct 6:30 - 8:30pm | Sat 15 Oct 12-5pm
These workshops, led by Ruth Ramsay, centre on building the big Anansi carnival puppet!
Ages 8+ and accompanied by adults are welcome.
Dance and Headdress-Making Workshop
Sat 29 Oct 10am - 12pm | 1 - 3pm | 4 - 6pm
Led by Ripton Lindsay and Ruth Ramsay, these workshops are suitable for all ages and generations, including individuals, families and groups.
Workshops will consist of one hour in dance and one hour in headdress-making, both guided by experienced workshop professionals.
Participants should bring a bottle of water and wear clothing and shoes comfortable for dancing.
Dance Recap Session

These recap sessions are for previous workshop attendees to practice their moves before the Bump In The Night Lantern Parade takes off that evening!
