Edson Burton: Pandemic Poetry
A night of poetry, storytelling and musicWhen the theatres closed Shakespeare wrote sonnets.
He's not claiming to be Shakespeare, but like the Bard, Bristol writer Edson Burton turned to his first love, poetry, as a way to document his journey through this pandemic. From disappointment, to dread, to the passion of Black Lives Matter, to the uneasy 'easying'.
Edson is joined by musicians and friends for a night of poetry, storytelling and music as he shares some moments of connection and looks to our past, our present & our future.
Edson Burton's writing has an energy and rigour that sets it apart
