Kelly is alive for now, trapped in the basement of her house while God-knows-what goes on upstairs. Unknown men, who arrived with knives and golf clubs in the night, roam the rooms above. Her dad has run off into the dark and the rain. She and a woman she met just five hours ago must try desperately to stay calm and quiet.
How much humanity is left when human beings have (nearly) wiped themselves out? That depends how much there was to begin with.
