In a cosy little nook, nestled underneath the stage you’ll find our first female manager Sarah Macready’s office. It looks a tad different to how it did back then – nowadays, the piles of playbills and stationary supplies have been replaced with bean bags, fancy dress costumes (including a pantomime horse) and a whole rainbow of coloured chalks!
Sarah’s Den is now a place for families to explore, create and play.
Open whenever we are, this is the perfect place to go before seeing one of our children’s shows or after going on our Great Bristol Elephant Pushchair Tour!
To find Sarah’s Den, go down the Front of House stairs and to the Pit level, walk through the big red doors and turn right, have a look at our brand-new heritage exhibit (Seen and Heard) as you walk along the corridor, and at the end you’ll see a little door... welcome to Sarah’s Den.
