Become a Champion

Through an annual gift of £5,000 or more, our Champions enable Bristol Old Vic to be a truly ambitious theatre for artists, audiences and young people across our city and beyond.

The theatre sector today is under real pressure. Opportunities for the next generation of artists are disappearing, and many regional theatres have been forced to step back from producing work. At Bristol Old Vic, we are determined to push against that trend but we cannot do it alone. Our Champions help protect our ability to make ambitious theatre and safeguard our position as one of the country’s leading producing theatres.

Rebecca Dawson, Executive Director

As a Champion your support will help Bristol Old Vic to:

  • Produce ambitious plays across our stages, bringing new artists, ideas and stories into the British canon.
  • Nurture emerging artists through our artist development and training programmes, strengthening the next generation of theatre-makers for the industry.
  • Create opportunities for young people across Bristol, opening up creative pathways and helping build a stronger, more inclusive theatre sector.

Champions support the full breadth of Bristol Old Vic’s work, however if you have a particular area of interest, you can also direct your support specifically to Bristol Old Vic Productions, Artist Development or our work with Young People.
