Craft: Hold Your Head Up

Martha the Giraffe is a very special puppet first seen in the My Great Giraffe stage show in 2019. She fits into a backpack, and visits hospitals and events with her creator Brook.

Now you can make your own Martha at home and hang her out of your window to show that even in these difficult times, it's good to hold your head up.

About My Great Giraffe

My Great Giraffe grew from a short poem Brook wrote for his nieces:

‘I’m brave.’ said the girl as she folded her scarf.
‘I hope that you stay that way.’ said the giraffe.’

He hopes My Great Giraffe helps children to find the strength, and importance, of their own voices and help them to be brave and hold their heads up high.
