Stage Talk
Tom Morris in ConversationBefore the evening performance of Touching the Void, its Director Tom Morris will talk about the show Bristol Old Vic has chosen to open our autumn season and to mark the opening of the new redevelopment. Discussing how this story of survival speaks to theatre audiences today, he will reflect on how he has transformed (with playwright David Greig) Joe Simpson’s 1988 autobiographical book on a dramatic and near-fatal expedition in the Peruvian Andes.
Artistic Director of Bristol Old Vic since 2009 and director of many hugely acclaimed shows performed in London’s West End, Broadway and around the UK, including War Horse and The Grinning Man, Tom Morris is well known for his powerful and imaginative productions. The conversation will include a Q&A section in which you can ask him more about his work.
