STARS Workshop with Sue Mayo
The Stars Workshop is for women, those who identify as women, and gender non-conforming people of different generations and will explore the power and politics of pleasure, creating a space for reflection and making.
Alongside Tamasha’s production of Mojisola Adebayo’s play STARS, we offer a one-day workshop for women to playfully explore ideas around pleasure; how we experience pleasure and how we can be cut off from it and disempowered. Inspired by the play, but centred on the thoughts, feelings, and experiences of the participants, we’ll use creative writing, storytelling and visual art to have fun and reflect.
“I found joy and laughter, and common territory with the other women. I found my roar!”
The session will be facilitated by Sue Mayo.
