Information about Young Company Summer Term Sessions
- Due to the May Bank Holiday weekend, all Young Company sessions will begin on W/C Mon 6 May and end W/C Mon 15 Jul EXCEPT the Year 9 sessions, which will start a week later on Mon 13 May and end on Mon 22 July.
- We will have our annual Young Company sharing day – Springboard – on Saturday 20th July. Make sure you save the date!
- Established in 2019, Springboard is the Bristol Old Vic Engagement Department’s Performance Day, celebrating the work achieved by our groups throughout the term. It provides the opportunity for our Young Company to present their work to an invited audience of family and friends at Bristol Old Vic’s performance spaces.
- Young Company sessions Year 3-4 and above will be delivered in person at Bristol Old Vic, in groups of up to 30 young people.
- Year 1-2 will be delivered as one group of 25.
- Early Years (3-5s) session will be delivered with up to 20 young people in a group.
How to book a Young Company place online
- If you are booking for someone other than yourself online, please ensure you book under the participant’s name, not your own.
- When making your booking, if you are booking in multiple participants, you must book in each one as separate bookings. If you have a sibling attending another session, you can select the ‘sibling discount’ price for each participant.
- If sessions fully sell out, please contact the Engagement team to be added to the waiting list for that session.
You will still need to book and pay for a place using the links below ⬇️

Fees and Bursaries
We have a limited number of bursary grants that are available in cases of genuine hardship for anyone who will struggle to pay Young Company fees. Bursaries should be applied for when booking opens on Wednesday 14 February at 10am.
Applying for a bursary means we automatically reserve you a space for Young Company, so you do not need to make a paid booking in addition to your bursary application, and you will have the option to buy your reserved place if your bursary application is not successful.
In order to allocate bursary places as fairly as possible we will initially prioritise applicants who are in receipt of free school meals, please note that we will contact your school to confirm this information. Please visit the Fees & Bursaries page to download a bursary application form.
Bursary applications for Summer term will be accepted between Wednesday 14 February at 10am and Wednesday 20 March. When a Young Company session has reached capacity we will not accept bursary places for that session.
Please send the application form in as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment.
