1:1 Assistants & First Aiders
We sometimes have additional assistants in sessions, to support young people 1:1. We apply for funding from Bristol City Council to fund 1:1 assistants, with the help of the young person’s parent/guardian. If you think your young person would benefit from a 1:1 assistant, please contact getinvolved@bristololdvic.org.uk.
We also have first aid trained members of staff either nearby in the building or in the session itself.
How can I let my facilitator know if I have an access need?
When you book onto Young Company, we will ask you to complete a form with your details, including if you have any access requirements that we should know about.
If there is anything urgent we should be aware of in advance of sessions, e.g. medicines our facilitators might need to administer, please contact getinvolved@bristololdvic.org.uk as early as possible.
Are Young Company sessions for me?
Young Company sessions can be noisy and fast-paced, and involve physical games and activities. However we will always try to adapt sessions and activities to the needs of participants, as far as possible. Please indicate any adjustments that might be helpful for you on your sign-up form. You can also email getinvolved@bristololdvic.org.uk, give us a call on 0117 317 8654, or chat to your facilitator.
